These pieces are all hand-built, using coils and slabs from stoneware clay. The majority of them are fired to cone 5/6 with some fired to cone 10. They are all functional with food-safe glazes.

The form and design are inspired by patterns and textures in the natural world, especially sea-life, plants and trees, and microscopic images of plant and animal tissues.

The artist, Linda Yeargin-Taylor, lives in Venice, California with her husband and two daughters. Her background is in marine biology, which continues to inspire her work.
